DESCRIPTIONIn this paper, we analyze the security of using Bitcoin for fast payments. We show that, unless appropriate detection techniques are integrated in the current Bitcoin implementation, doublespending attacks on fast payments succeed with overwhelming probability and can be mounted at low cost.
